I have a MA in Professional Psychology. I have worked in inpatient psychiatric, community mental health, and private practice settings in my career. I served on the board of the Florida Mental Health Counselors Association for 10 years and was President in 2015. I specialize in working with individuals, couples and families with adolescents. I am very direct and I like to get to the heart of the issues as quickly as possible. After all ,why should you stay in pain any longer than you absolutely have to? I'm also the author of the book "Structured Relationship Theory."

This is a telehealth practice. As a personal choice, the use of narcotics or other controlled (DEA) meds are minimal, if any. I've been a psych nurse practitioner for at least 14yrs. I believe in managing conditions with psychiatric and non-psychiatric treatment modalities that are evidence based. The use of the least amount of meds, at lower doses that does the healing of symptoms, is an active process involving the client and based on the reported experiences. Safety is the core of my practice and my job is to help clients understand internal signals and how to prevent another crisis.
Are you living with chronic illness, navigating a life transition, or feeling overwhelmed by mental health challenges? You don’t have to go through it alone.
I'm a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) with extensive experience supporting individuals across a wide range of life experiences and mental health needs. I work with adolescents, adults, and seniors. My work is grounded in compassion, authenticity, and a trauma-informed lens.
Over the years, I’ve supported clients living with chronic illness and chronic pain, including those facing cancer and dialysis treatment. I understand that the medical system often doesn’t allow time for patients to be truly heard. That’s why I’m passionate about creating a space where you can slow down, speak freely, and feel understood.
You may be feeling stuck in patterns that no longer serve you, especially if you’ve experienced trauma, toxic relationships, or emotional pain that keeps resurfacing. It can feel overwhelming trying to move forward while still carrying the weight of the past. You don’t have to do this alone. I provide a supportive space where you can begin to understand your story, break free from old patterns, and move toward a more peaceful, meaningful, and purpose-driven life.
My passion lies in helping individuals live their best lives by transforming unhelpful thought patterns, releasing trauma, and breaking free from mental and emotional blocks that no longer serve them.
I take an eclectic, integrative approach to therapy—tailoring each session to meet your unique needs. With graduate training in Counseling and Psychology, and additional degrees in Education and Leadership, I bring a well-rounded perspective shaped by years of experience in diverse roles, including teaching, academic advising, addiction counseling, and working with couples, children, and families.
Drawing from a range of evidence-based and holistic modalities—such as Person-Centered Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Mindfulness, Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT), Solution-Focused Therapy, and Energy Psychology—I strive to create a compassionate and empowering space for healing and growth.
Having navigated my own transformative life experiences, I deeply understand what it means to face challenges, cultivate resilience, and emerge stronger. My purpose as a counselor is to guide others through their own journeys of healing, self-discovery, and personal evolution.
My warm and interpersonal style fosters a sense of safety and trust, allowing clients to feel seen, supported, and inspired as they work toward living more authentic, balanced, and fulfilling lives.
