Hi, I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with a Master’s in Social Work from Florida State University. I am a licensed clinical psychologist offering therapy for children, teens, and their caregivers. I have over 9 years of experience working with youth and families on issues such as child depression, anxiety, trauma, and behavioral problems. I earned my PhD in Clinical-Community Psychology from the University of South Carolina. I completed a pre-doctoral internship and post-doctoral fellowship at the University of Miami (UM) Mailman Center for Child Development, where I specialized in pediatric psychology, primarily working in school-based primary care clinics with middle and high-school students. In addition to years of academic and clinical training, I am also the mother of a toddler. Being a parent myself has deepened my understanding and empathy for the families with whom I work.
My path to becoming a mental health provider grew out of a combination of personal experience, professional curiosity, and a deep desire to help others feel empowered in their own lives. Early experiences with trauma shaped the way I understand healing, resilience, and the importance of having support during life’s most overwhelming moments. While challenging, those experiences ultimately planted the seed for what would become my career.
I am deeply interested in the ways people adapt, survive, and make meaning out of hardship. This led me to pursue formal training in trauma-informed care and evidence-based therapeutic approaches, along with a commitment to ongoing continuing education. Over more than a decade of practice, I have supported individuals navigating trauma, addiction, anxiety, depression, family violence, grief, and major life transitions.
