I am a mom of five grown children and understand the challenges of keeping kids healthy and happy, running a home, working and keeping romance alive in your marriage. I am trained in the classroom to understand how the body and the brain can work for us or work against us. I am also trained in the ups and downs of life, practicing what I teach and learning every day how to love myself and others more fully.
I have a strong multicultural training background, particularly regarding faith and spiritual matters. I strongly believe in the power of faith in healing.
I also work best with clients who want to find solutions to their problems. I want my clients to understand they have the power to make things better in their lives.
I give you a space to explore, feel, question, cry, scream, cuss, fall apart, and fall together. I like wrestling with whatever it is that is coming up in your heart or mind. I am open minded and care about the burdens you carry around everyday. It's hard work to grow yourself and we can work together to create and achieve your goals. I believe your story matters and holds a lot of power in shaping your life.
I
I believe that healthy change starts from within and my role is to be a guide during this process. Often times we feel we are stuck in a rut with no way out, but together we'll work on building self-empowerment, better self-care, and self-awareness. No matter what you're going through there's always room to learn and grow from the past to make a better future. I specialize in anxiety disorders, trauma and PTSD, and building self-confidence. I'm also trained in Brainspotting.
I received a BSW from the University of North Texas in 1990 and an MSW from the University of Maryland in 1993 and have worked in the fields of community mental health, grief and loss, foster care and adoption, trauma recovery, depression, anxiety, and Bipolar Disorder. I specialize in Autistic Spectrum Disorders.
I am certified in Brainspotting and Critical Incident Stress Management and am recognized as a Certified Trauma Treatment Specialist by the Association of Traumatic Stress Specialists.

🌊 INTIMACY & TEA: In the world of relationships, you can tell you're in the right one when you're swimming in a sea of intimacy that seems to stretch to infinity. Picture us sitting in your cozy living room, sipping on some warm tea, having a gentle heart-to-heart chat.
✋🏽 WAIT POLICY: Respect the 15-minute wait policy, sessions don’t always start exactly on time due to back-to-back appointments, and while clients can be a few minutes late without issue, practitioners also deserve that same grace.
⌛️ AVAILABILITY & SCHEDULING: Though intake and follow-up appointments are set to 30 minutes for scheduling, We intentionally reserve 60 minutes to ensure we have enough time for meaningful, unrushed work.
🚨 IMPORTANT NOTICE: We don’t provide documentation for work accommodations, legal cases, emotional support animals, or leave requests, our practice no longer offers this service. If that’s your primary need, we're not the right fit. Thanks for understanding.
